WTB Piazza diff to put into Chevette.
Would prefer a turbo one but not overly fussy at this point, just want to get the old girl rolling.

Gemini ones fit, you'll need to swap brake fittings over, and redrill the torque tube mounts as the body mounting holes are in different places.
You want a wagon one if you're putting it into a chevette hatch.
Piazza swap Im doing on my gemini wagon at the moment, Need to swap the panhard mounts over as the piazza's are on the wrong side. Also ideally need to cut the spring platforms off and move them in as the diff is wider so your springs & bottom arms wont line up properly.
If Its not too hot I'll take some pics tonight if I get it done. Im using the gemini torque tube too, looks like it'll bolt up to the piazza diff - interesting given the Piazza is a Japanese diff, and the gemini is Australian..

wicked... good info. I was going to ladder bar the commodore diff I have but to make it work I have to modify the original chevette front mounts - I don't really want to do that.
The commy diff is currently mounted with a bastardised 4 link but it reacts too much under acceleration, so has to go.
I guess that opens it up to Gemni Diffs too then... anyone got a Gem Wagon diff they are willing to part with?
