Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has any chevette door handles, headlight switches or a speedo drive they wouldnt mind selling to me!
my little chevette is falling to pieces!

Which model/year car is it - there were some changes in the handle details and I might have some.
I'm sorry to say that Things like headlight switches are getting hard to find, so people tend to hold onto them - however, with care they can be taken apart and the contacts cleaned or built up with solder before re-assembling them.
You might be able to get a speedo drive from GM, I get rid of my spare gearboxes, so can't help there.

It's a 79 chevette hatchback  I went away for 3 months, came Back and the door handles were stiff then just broke! That would be awesome if they fitted! So far ive passed two wof's without the speedo working, but I'd rather it work than not haha! I'm based in Auckland |

Sorry, GM for General Motors - your local Holden/GM dealer.
If Caine can't sort you out I'll have a look in gh4 shed as i should have some spare chrome ones - I assume you're after the outside ones.

Awesome, I've text him now so ill let ya know! It's a bit of a pain in the ass having to climb through the boot to get into the car haha. And yup it's the outside!

I'm sure I had one or two in the garage but having 'tidied it up' (AKA m0ved crap around) I can't seem to locate it/them,
However, if you or your partner can meet me at the storage shed, and can spare a half hour or so, I can pull one/both from doors I have there.

Oh, Robinson Instruments, in Auckland, may be able to make up a new inner cable for the speedo if you can provide them with the old one as a pattern.
