Anyone ever repaired the hinge that is glued to the window itself (backseat window) I need the hinges glued to the window in order to take the tarp off that has Barry Whiteed my pain in the wind

It's a damn fool design and they never fixed it - perhaps because the UK cars had fixed side windows and the opening ones were an extra?
You can try the mirror fixing kits, for the interior mirrors that are stuck to the windscreen - won't last forever but it is probably the easiest thing for now.

I've used the rearview mirror glass glue previously with success and have heard of others using it aswell. Just a mish as it didnt set the first time I tried/I don't have the steadiest hands for fimbly nuts like that.

Sweet I'll give them a go. Reckon it would be best it I gave both surfaces a scuff up?

Shouldn't need a scuff up, but they MUST be clean - I usually give them a good scrub with iso-propyl alcohol and then use the cleaner in the kit, if supplied by the one you use.

They did kind of fix the hinge.... there are double sided ones available - i got mine from germany - for an Opel Kadett... you should still glue them in though

Give Coggers a PM - he's offered to act as an intermediary before. NZ Post also do a service where they provide a mail drop in Europe (UK, I think) and it's then sent from there.
