Hi all, I have a chevette wagon with a g200z + 5 speed. Just getting a set of extractors ready for it and thought I'd get the rest of the exhaust sorted while I'm at it. The current setup is factory headers, to 2" pipe straight to a small muffler at the back (maybe factory chevette?), with the exhaust stopping just before the diff. With the exhaust stopping underneath the car, and no carpet at the moment it's pretty noisy (hard to talk while the car is moving). I want the exhaust to be a bit quieter but still want a bump in performance. I was thinking: Extractors to 2" pipe to muffler (like this www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=576282560 ) to 2" pipe, to resonator to tailpipe. Any recommendations for mufflers or resonators? Not sure what size resonator I'd need to hide the noise without killing performance.

I'd be putting a triple pass muffler in it, changes the tone quite alot too.
In saying that my Chevette with the g200w runs a tripple pass plus a straight through muffler and its just above normal Id say, has a note but not drony or anything

On the modifed 1256, I ran a full 2" with a single triple pass from, IIRC, a Transit. it just fitted into the area the stock muffler fitted. the transit (?) one was a replacement for another that was actualy see through with offset inlet and exhaust. It was still very quiet, ven cruising at 145-150kph - provided the outlet was right to the rear of the car.
