So I'm wondering if there's various diff ratios that came out on the gemini? I've got a piazza diff fitted to the vett, but some clever guy decided to lock it up.
Reken that a standard diff head will fit in? Or will I to change axles ect?
Or another one I was thinking was changing the brake setup to standard diff... Is it feesable at all?

Gemini chevette and piazza diffs are all different centers arnt interchangeable nor the brakes I think I have a spare piazza non turbo center. They are 3.5:1 ratio and Gemini is 3.9:1 not sure what chevette is.

Chevette diff is 4.1:1. There are two different Piazza designs of diff's and are completely different - one has a separarate diff carrier (Turbo and 4 link) and one has the diff carrier as part of the housing (N/A versions that use a torque tube), I can't remember what the 'turbo ratio is and can't be bothered going out to the shed, but the 'normal' one I have is a 3.9:1 ratio - there may be others, mind, for different engines, etc.

My non turbo torque tubed diff in my Gem is 3.5:1 and the spare center I think is to I wouldn't mind a 3.9:1 or higher really.

Are you interested in parting with it? If not ill just have to throw in a standard gem item. Ill post up a picture of what's in it now coz looks like the mounts have been chopped and welded and looks like it sits on the piss from there the bottom shock bolts is odd really

Sorry, mate, only really interested in getting rid of the whole thing, disc to disc, if at all, and it's in bits throughout the garage. it IS a torque tube type Piazza diff' you want, right?

I'll have to get back to you about that - when I'm SURE I have all the bits - I think I've new (not fitted) wheel bearings for it, but may be the other diff type. May be a lot cheaper just getting the diff carrier (and pinion) from from the other chap? Oh, on this torque tube type, it clears 13" wheels, which may be important.
