Cobra's, Kings lol and originally cutties....
Various debates about compressing or cutting springs. The last car had cobra's with 1 & 1/2 coils cut off - and that wasnt stupidly low

my rears need to be realy quite stiff tho so cutting them probably wont cut it as it guard rubs over even tiny bumps with 2 ppl in car hate to hear it with 4 ppl im going to put 195 tyres on instead of the 205s so that will help a bit

The van rear springs were longer and/or stiffer - I don't know about the wagon ones, perhaps someone has a set that you can try and, if too long, they have enough length to trim to lower the car. If the installed length is less than the OEM, you'll need some shorter dampers. With the fronts, you can trim off a coil or two with a cutoff blade - it won't dislocate and the shorter spring will give a higher spring rate proportional to how much has been taken off. If you have the money, you can get some from the UK - for example, TJ Motorsport - www.tjmotorsport.co.uk/ - just enter Chevette in the search engine.
