If you really wanted you could smash a chevette front on a gemini. Can't see the point myself.... if you were talking of making a chevette coupe I'd say different. I have two chevette hatches with early and late gem fronts . The early fronted one is almost complete.the late one is a shell partially chevini converted. Loads of bits interchange. Anything in particular you want to know?

and to be fair I do love the look of the later model gem fronts.
wish it was a coupe though. I'd love to graft wagon doors onto mine and weld up the back doors.
dreaming is free I guess!

Look in project gallery under the title .mk1 chevini or similar. Agree your car needs to stay as is.. the wagon door thing is probably the only way I'll ever buy a sedan :-)

Also... does the viva share any body parts? I assume you mean the HC? AFAIK, about the only 'body' part would be the headlights and maybe the front indicators. Most 1256 engine bits are the same and some transmission parts interchange, depending on model and year.

Are the wagon doors longer? I always thought they were the same, with the coupe's the only variation in length?

2 door 'vette, hatch, wagon and van (don't know if they were sold here) are the same, with the 4 dood being shorter. Can't comment on the Gem's, though.
