my opinion means nothing... but I personally don't see the need for this site ( since finding out it is affiliated with oldschool)

no point having stuff spread over multi sites.

if it were me I'd merge everything somehow- throw a t-car section into oldschool or something.

but I'm not here to be an active poster or intend to do so on a regular basis. I simply am trying to find gem parts and ask a few dumb questions that I'm too ashamed to ask elsewhere

T car is the world car... I reckon its s good idea having a separate forum for other countries to see how we do it... I'm a member (not active) on English, Irish, German, Brazilian and American t car forums and like being able to pass a link onto owners from other nations. Also like gmt as often there I'is more interest when things are done. Has to be pretty special for anyone to bother dialogues with you about a gem or vette on oldschool also on here I actually know useful (and useless) info whereas a lot of car related talk on os is way beyondmy kniwledge base. Can't explain why I'm so fond of these cars... need professional help me thinks!

I got my information from a client of mine who has a buisness setting up catalogues and networks for super cheap auto and repco. he has a network database of all registered cars so he can see what parts are worth bringin to nz from auzzie to meet supply and demand. ( im sure its more involved than that but thats my understanding) I will definately get round to doing a build thread this week. Although most other members cars put mine to shame :-(

If this forum was somehow amalgamated into one of the other bigger forums then I probably wouldn't have got involved in the first place .

It's the only one I know of that specifically states it's for the T-car and all it's various platforms which was one of the reasons I joined .

Granted it's small but I'm on bigger forums too and they're not always necessarily a better place to be , depends what you want really.

I'm sure whenever anybody starts a forum or FB page they have grand ideas of where they'd like it to end up but for me as long as there are a handful of decent guys all contributing positive stuff then that's good enough for me ; I like it here.

as for making forum more active. dunno if its realy possible. ratio of T car owners to interest in car forum is prob pretty low. However changing the forum name would help. Barry White it is impossible to find. seriously I know what im looking for and it takes me a couple of google searches to find it. have to write gm-t + chevette + nz. I can never remember what the actual domain name is so writing it into the internet address thing don't work
