Anyone got a 1256 that was working when they pulled it?
Preferably close to Auckland.
Cheers.

I say just to stick to your first request you should measure up my mates 1275 Marina engine... ran mint when in the van it came out of and has a Cooper sport head on it (apparently worth lots in UK) Mrs Funt'maRunt would be driveshaft assuming rest is similar enough... ignore me, your looking for something to chuck straight in no mods... somebody must have, try a want ad on trade me

Might have one - I think the starter is jammed, so will have to free it up and check.

Cool man, let me know!
Also Gordo, Tony suggested a 28/36 for a 1256, these are pretty expensive and hard to get. Reckon I could get away with a Nikki from a Gemini? They are 30/34

All a carbie does is mix the fuel and air - if you can get it jetted correctly, and linkages and manifold sorted out, should be fine. If you get one off a similar power vehicle ~ 70hp, the jetting 'should' be close enough.
