the early model bonnet locking mechanism? I shut my bonnet with no cable and need to figure out how to make a tool to get it back open!!
(or anyone else with an early model gem!)

Barry White no. These bonnets aint easy to get.
I've been told how to get in, I need to make a tool but the dude just said to look at one an you'd understand how to bend it up.

Went and had a look. Theres a lever that the cable attaches to, pokes out the front of the scuttle panel - pointing dead ahead, you want to push that lever across towards the drivers side headlight, that will release it. Should be reasonably easy to make something connect with the rod with the bonnet shut. it even has a hoop for you to make it easier

Dude, a picture would be amazing! EXplanation was good though! I don't have a lot of room to play with with the grille in tack and the intercooler hard up against it!

the grill would be level with latch spring that the cable hooks thru... but yea picture=1000 words etc. Did Chris PXT you? Didn't see post till now, worked late as Barry White last night helping a mate building some triple scale urethane digital cameras to go on the top of the Canon service tech cars.... gay
