Yeah if it were auckland or closer I would buy it for sure. There's also another one that was going for $500 and I think it was a DOCH aswell.

mint yeah well sohc one suits me as i cant be stuffed with cert as this engines bolts straight up and looks excually the same ! dohc would be sweet tho

Dunno about the cert thing because the injected G200z exceeds the 20% displacement or power increase in a Gemini. I guess I will find out next week when I take my TE for a warrent. I dont think many people will belive that a Gemini came stock injected but ya never know.

Sweet looks like a good plan. Do doubt burntrubber will be able to help out if you have any troubles, since he has done the same conversion.
Front brakes bolt on you just need to use the piazza tie rod end. The diff also goes in but you need to alter the panhard rod.

I have a special place I can go aswell its about 2mins from my house quite good really its just hard to get in there its quite popular.
The conversion is straight foward my only issue was a small bit of wireing which I got sorted fairly easily. Theres a few other bits you swap off the Gemini engine and gearbox.
The diff will fit but its about 50mm wider. I would get an early Gemini diff which is the same and put the disk brakes ect on to that so its not wider.
I took my TE for a drive yesterday morning to try and get it a warrent but he was full up. It was a lovely wet day and its a fun car to drive in the wet. If you go with this conversion you will be happy I would say mine is bog stock only a pod filter. If you put a bigger exhaust and extractors and maybe better fuel pump ect it will go even better.

yeah man sounds like the business just waiting on a reply from this person mate i'm keen as its guna be a nice cheap upgrade cant wait! hopefully get it done b4 new years should do got ages! just do the engine side of things first worst comes to worst could i just wack the carby on for new years ?

Nah go with the injection I Put the whole Piazza engine in my TE in an 8 hour day only thing I had to do the next day was modify the exhaust because the Piazza manifold outlet has two pipes that join under the car not like the Gemini which has just one. I also had to modify my auto crossmember which you wont have to do because you have a manual allready. So yeah you should be able to do the whole swap in a day no sweat I can tell you how to sort out the wiring so you dont get stuck for 4 hours like I did.

gutted i rang the guy and he said he reakons he can get 500 for it now or some crap its de rego who in there right mind would pay 500! grrrrrrrrrrr no more motor for me!
