Just quiet, I would say. It happens.
I noticed two readings before me but they didn't bother commenting - way to go, guys...

Have bought another car, and extremely busy at work/women...
My gem has just had rings & bearings, valve grind, carbs rebuilt, ignition system replaced , rust in floors done, and now my Barry Whiteing cam chain tensioner has crapped out!

I've been in Aussie the last couple of weeks. Checked up when I got back and was a little surprised at the inactivity, but as Gordo says, it happens.
In brighter news, I saw 3 Geminis in Australia and they were all quite cool. An early coupe in very tidy condition, and a couple of later sedans, one of them on cool 15x7's with a good offset. All owned by young fellas too.

hey cul8er where did you get your twin cam stuff from? easy to source? rings & bearings etc. gaskets would be the same wouldnt they, apart from rocker cover obviously. just thinking wether to go twin cam or piazza turbz in the future.

Go piazza turbo, easier to get stuff simply..
Rings n bearings wont be a problem (have mate at specialist shop) , I believe Chris Bowden at bowdenautoparts.co.nz can get top end gasket sets.. No gaskets are completely different..
I've got both the g200w and a g180w , and know of 3 other motors so thats not really a issue of getting bits for me..

They seem to be an understressed unit with quite a lot of tuning potential. The twincams are great, but need forced induction to liven them up, which opens a can of worms when you can just get a turbo engine straight out of the box. Fitting could be an issue, I think burntrubber on here has fitted one to a Gemini. He is another who struggles to find time for the internet now, but is a GC and always willing to lend a hand/advice where he can. edit: other good thing about 4zc1 is 4zd1 and 4ze1 for up to 2.6 litre displacement and turbo 8) now that would be something exciting on the street

theres a few good write ups on ozgem. seems pretty straight forward. only problem is the sump and dizzy foul but theres a few ways to get around it. same problem with the rodeo engines but definitely nothing too intensive. yeah 2.6 turbo would be a mean little unit.
