im new to all this but im woundering if a piazza front end will go into my 82 slx gemini ? i.e complete front ?
any help would be great

dont think so. you can run the discs and calipers and the diff but youll need to change the shock mounts

And for the diff you'll need to change the panhard rod mounts... & Brake lines
Can easily swap the whole stub axle over for the fronts with your caliper/rotor etc attached. Even use the same tierod ends..

in other news picking up a TG gemini tomorrow lol. will be putting in the piazza engine eventually and running twin alfa down drafts once i find some. anyone used the piazza remote shifter on a gem. not too keen on that angled shifter scenario. bit of cutty cutty then cut the gear stick down so its a short shift.

here is a semi relivant query. there is a dohc g200 on tard me in dunedin. i missing the computer and from what i understand it may be a real pregnant dog to fit buuuuuuuuuuuut thinking i might bid on it just for the block. there any difference in a dohc block to a sohc block?? its currently at 51 dollars!!

Just buy it and run it on a megasquirt or carbs and an aftermarket ignition.
As far as I can remember the blocks are different anyway, I can't remember exactly but the starter motor is on the opposite side and the dizzy is in a different position. Make sure you get a gearbox with it as well! Only twincam (and apparently some diesel) gearboxes fit on twincam engines.

yeah DOHC blocks are totally different as far as i know. bit of work to get it in a shuv too i think. seems pretty pointless to get the dohc block and put a sohc head on anyway???

just to let you know SOHC head will definitely not bolt onto a SOHC block. oil and water galleries are completely different among other things
