Nice, real tidy, has the nicer trim on the seats too, nah a good 1256 runs real sweet and is stupidenously cheap on gas - used to manage 2nd gear burnouts in my derby car, however road cars motor before I pulled it out couldnt even chirp in first

Also I see you want to upgrade the brakes, what are you planning on doing with it? I've gone for the 230mm Vented piazza upgrade in mine, just swap the complete stub axles over (with rotor & caliper attached) , tierod ends were the same on mine (although I replaced them with new ones along with the upper and lower balljoints, and nolathane bushes)

Go for it ryan! The 1256 goes alright when its tuned up and running well. I'm not a huge fan but an HS replica will look cool and at the end of the day, you can't use a lot of power on the road anyway so why bother until you can afford to use it out on the track and everything like that. Looking forward to seeing progress man.

looks so nice as it is. Like perfect. I must be geting old...
Starting to think lowered and widend steels chevettes are soooo 2007.
But serious only advice i can offer is dont bother with widened steels, just buy something like super lights etc. Will work out being much better and not much more/anymore expensive
*mista black you should hurry up and bring me my beers this week cos this coming weekend is my last in nz for like ages

Nice car mate, are you having an issue with the brakes? to be honest when they are working well they are a good little twin pot caliper and should be any amount to stop you well. I will find out if my old ones are till lying around as they were recond calipers with semi metalic pads, even had machined drums and new shoes and cylinders on the back, think it all got binned. What sort of spoiler do you want for the back, I am going to replace my whole hatch on mine.

IMO steels dont really suit a hatch. prefer 15" alloys - more sporty looking and much better handling.
bring beers soon mate dont worry ;D
