Add to list: Pick up the carb from this engine... one of the engine builders next to Troys shop also has a Gemini and 'borrowed' it! This car will def be rolling before the weekend, and I cannot feckin wait! Gana be super sweet, take for WOF, fail on rust and hopefully nothing else, have Troy stitch it up, 2 Wagons for Crazytim! WOOOOOOOOOO! Won't be chomping springs just yet either as Waiheke roads are pretty horrid in places, want clearance so I can hoon them!

She's alive! Still need to get stubborn ass bolts out of driveshaft so I can remove then reinstall, set timing, top up all fluids, adjust accelerator cable, (nut freakin toight...) and connect reverse lights and I think that is it... she will be sweet to drive. Fix a bit of rot in drivers side floorpan and I do believe she will fly through a WOF! Amazing!

As always rust was way worse than thought. Whole drivers side floorpan has been replaced, couple of plates on passenger side floor and plates in seam of firewall into the inner guard on both sides. Floor has then been sprayed with a rubberised underbody sealer as caprpet isn't an option for a work car (jumping in and out with gumboots etc) Sorted out a few minor problems today such as leaky exhaust flange, faulty reverse lamp switch, made up a new battery bracket and other boring nuts. Bolted seats back in too... seatbelts in tomorrow and check over for a WOF (warrant of fitness, similar to your 'roadworthies' except done every 6 months which siux when you own a 25-30yr old car!) Also repainted the faded flames on the bonnet just to tidy it up a bit (was looking way rough!) Anyway nearly finsihed thank crap! Fred Flintstone Spec Rust cut from passenger side... And the drivers side! All plated up now fukn stoked!

Packing up th old pregnant dog and heading over to Waiheke this arvo... looking forward to getting home and checking out progress on Chevini... anyway behave you lot, taking the Mrs's notebook, will sit outside the local cafe in my car and steal free wireless, but for some reason it doesn't like logging onto certain websites so may or may not be able to get on gm-t... I know it's funny with facebook but I could do with a few days off of that particular site.

This car had a bunch of electrical defects over the past few weeks on Waiheke Island. The first was the altenater intermitently over charging. This would be sweet one minute and overcharging the next which ended up giving me battery problems gfor the best part of the last week. Same with heater and dash lights which spend most of the time not working and come on every now and then. After getting pulled over by the Police on the island for no tail lights I found they were no longer working along with one of the head lights and park lights so driving along at night I was showing only one headlight... oops! 14 day defective vehicle notice... repair or pay $150! Don't think it will be repaired as I'm thinking I will replace the whole loom as the hazards aren't working which I knew and somehow went thru a WOF without... It also leaks like a mother Barry Whiteer... seam seal is gone up on firewall so footwells flood, so dash out, reaseal, swap out loom for item which I hope to fukk is better than the one I have, dash back in and should be all functional once again~! Maybe will get me a CD player while doing alll this electrical stuff too...
Anyhow it did it's job once again and got me back to the big smoke... a new month ahead, hopefully I will have my Chevini finsihed by the end of it too!
