my lil car on the boat all set up with my gear at the 1st waiheke job always liked a dirty girl... a trademark of most cars on waiheke! (especially ones that have been out for a skid on the dirt roads!) steps out very nicely!

On a side note 3 of the 4 tyres dont feckn hold pressure! Lucky I've got new feet goin on soon! Can't wait for next WOF too so Mr Grinder can meet Mr Springs... the above photo is waaay to high! I'm no Mikuni with my ride height but that there is just embarrassing! Spitfire rims are growing on me tho... may keep for somthing else... anyone know what stud pattern DX rollas are? Have a mate with a completely stock 4 door wags... aparently had for years, was eyeing up the Spitfires, could be a sneaky way to get him into modding his ride lol

Oil all over engine bay from oil cap fuct up.... massiv zorst leak, car on waiheke and cant be fuct repairing till i get home, has a bolt either snapped or missing from where the zorst mai meets the pipes. Check it out soon as tho koz losing fair bit of power from it. Apart from that been sweet and reliable and stepped out of many a side road in a sideways fashion... Gotta wait for more tyres as shop sold the ones he reserved for me... o well. few pics from the week that was

Chur boe...more piccies, finished Waiheke Now! Had some carnage, fuct one of my rear upper shock mountings ripped out. Had it professionally fixed immediately. The shock also broke the exhaust so last satday I came back on the ferry and my Mrs bought me my spare exhaust pipe section replacding the broken muffler section with a straight pipe... fuk its soooo noisy!

This lil biarch needs some serious McLovin! Get green wag on road next few weeks, engine is pretty much finished, looks all new and pretty lol. Trying to decide if I spend big and get that mate of Allistair off oldschool to paint car in a mean color or do a cheap home job in standard OG color... maranello red. Probably will do the home job I'm thinking as the Chevini Wagon is still waiting in the wings... If I get it painted by some other Mrs Funt'maRunt it will most likely be dark (but not too dark) candy red. Otherwise maybe I just go the OG color and I won't worry about engine bay or interior pillars etc. Door jambs will need some love tho, bit of paint wear, must have been owned by a midget at some stage scraped the sill getting in... or maybe it was a regular height person having trouble koz its at stock height... Anyway along with engine I'm planning on stripping my suspension down, sandblasting the whole front assembly, reassembling with new bushes, brake hoses, basicly everything thats not mint will be replaced. Sick of dirty old gem... needs to be Uber Clean! Planning on doing an overhaul on rear end later on, just concentrate on panel/paint and engine/front end. Still trying to decide on new carb or pre loved carb.... as mentioned prev in off topic was quoted $900+gst for brand new Weber installed with choke cable fitted. I am assuming it will also be tuned... Gearbox also needs to be checked over and cleaned up too... Better get onto this I guess... In short tho a lot of stuff gana be happnin on this whip! And about Barry Whitein time!

For own ref more than an update to all you boes... Uber Clean Red Wag is history, hopefully not for too long, would really like on road by end of Feb at latest... El Cheapo (but hopefully Good-O) respray in a dark candy red me thinks, fresh engine and lowering springs and a freshen up on the interior and maybe even a simple sounds set up is the plan... Ripped the Recaro's out and the back boot tray and have shoved in the green gem (tray will go in tomorrow, painted black down in shed drying...) Been planning this for ages, WOF expires on Xmas day so nearly made it to the planned date...

Right, got sick of looking at this car rusting on my driveway so put her in the barn last night. Decided to chuck a proven runner G161z in, now just need to check out one of my 5speeds... or are 4spds better for skuds?
Took engine/box out tonight, have the engine sitting waiting for a box and a new clutch plate all going well maybe have back in tomorrow night, unless I decide to get all OCD on cleaning up the oily engine bay (which I was going to do but thought 'fuk why?!' Oily old engine going in the hole, only a matter of time before the lil biarch gets a fresh engine and lick of paint as planned!
What bought this on? Waiheke again next month! Ship the car over on the 10th so need it purring by the end of this weekend so I can get it into Troy to stitch the rot in the drivers side floorpan up, in for WOF and off to the Rock!
Dinner time now... got home late so Mrs didnt feed me, went down to barn at 9pm, back in house at midnight, not bad for me especially as I fuct around (lots)

Crazytim may well be rounding a corner whereby he says then does instead of saying and saying and saying etc etc....
Went down to barn around 930pm, just came back up... new (old dirty pos) engine is in!
As it was in the gem me and g-ninje bought and Troy wrecked he had pinched a bunch of bolts etc off it for my orange beast of a G200 Chevini engine so had to do all that as well as find a g/box, change out clutch plate, bolt everything up, unbolt g/box x member and rob a gemini one as g-box had a chevini seat mount x-member from mcqunt's old wagon (my chevini wagon) and heaps of feckin around.
After checking it over a couple of times to make sure I hadn't left anything off I hoisted it up and dropped it in the bay with minimal fuss which was super sweet.
Altenator bolted/wired back up, engine mounts, g/box x-member, zorst mani, (with decent looking used gasket... fingers crossed on that one) and a couple of other minor things plugged/plumbed/bolted up...
Still to do: Starter motor Clutch cable Speedo Cable Unbolt driveshaft, slide into position, bolt back up Install radiator New fluids/filters Connect up mech fuel pump (or decide if I continue to use electric jobbie) Connect reverse light wires Put shift selector back in Misc other nuts I've forgotten about x100
