Yea its the trade me one. Got it for 5500. Its pretty tidy, even interior is pretty sweet. No one has a parcel tray lying around do they? hmm not sure about engine, the 1600 is just so cheap to run lol. might just drive it for a while until something goes wrong with 1600 and go from there.

Thats what I would do aye. Atleast the 1600 is bareable to drive. It has a little bit of power and you can do a bit to it as well. The 1256 in the chevette is so crap and boring after having a 1600 gemini.

May be able to get you a parcel tray, but would probably be easier to knock one up yourself, than have me freight it too you..

What are the laws bout cutting holes in the metal under the tray, no go? But am happy to pay freight down here, wouldnt be that much

And also does the shifter in a 5spd come out in the same place as the 4spd? cheers for the help.

twin downdraught 40mm webbers or dellortos work a treat, shave the head to bump up the comp and put in a mhg, some extractors and a 2 inch exhaust and some decent tuning, electronic ignition is also a must, 5 spd and 4 have the same shifter position, If you're not too mechanically minded i would suggest you buy a second hand head and set every thing up first then have a mechanic swap it all over and have it tuned

Have been looking for a msd distributer, and carbi upgrade. Where is the best place to get all this? Hava bit of coin to play with. Also what is a mhg?

The other option is to find a 2 liter from a Piazza. I had one in my coupe which I'm just rebuilding as we speak to put into my TE gem. They bolt straight in too

metal head gasket boe, pertronics do an electronic dizzy kit for your gem theyre on trademe, you won't find an msd kit for these but the pertronics ones work sweet, otherwise a g200z from apiazza as he said or a g200w which is a twin cam jobby, if you find a g200w make sure it comes with a gearbox as the starter is on the other side from all the single cam motors
