I picked up this mad looking Gem off my dad who had rescued it from pick-a-part haha After the floor had rusted out and failed w.o.f i decided to take it off the road and make it my project car ;D Started to strip just about everything, got sanding and couldn't help but removing the springs haha look good that low to ;D i made up a new passenger side floor pan an welded that in, along with a new sill due to the old one rusting out.Did what i could with the few dents and with the help of uncle who is ex painter, got a coat of primer on it. now off to get a proper panel and paint.. also found a mint set of chrome 17s for good price so chucked them to see how it'd look chose to go with an orange, thought it would be different and look quite good, which it did especially with the chromes ;D looked to high so bumped the back once again haha would have liked to keep it that way shaved of all the standard side skirts an my origional plan was to shave the rear bumper because the black plastic one didn't look right, so i had a custom number plate surrounding put into the boot. i'm trying to get hold of a set of chrome bumpers now to see if it would suit it better than the plastic one or none at all i did all under the car in a black body deadener mainly just to tidy it all up an to cover where we had replaced the floor pan.i also re painted all the dash and center console black, put all the interior back in along with the windows, bumpers and grille. found a set of chrome wing mirrors and cut the springs with some shorter shocks to get it sitting lower..sits ok but would look better lower, it's all warrent standard so not to worried got hold of some black and silver leather bucket seats.made up some brackets so they'd bolt onto the origional seat rails and then straight onto the floor mounts i did work doing sign writing so i designed a bombing( that says GEMINATRIX haha) for the sides, printed it of and stuck it on ;D got the good on bickies on the back ;D haha 'geminatrix' i got w.o.f an reg drive it almost everyday.had standard g161 engine in but didn't last long smoked like hell an had no power at all so got hold of another cheap 1600 that had bored out 30over so took it of the road to replace the engine. got the new one in but after a week it wasn't runing right had no compression in 2 of th cylinders and kept overheating so i took the engine out once again an fully stripped it, found it had blown head gasget. i placed that along with the rings and bearings put it all back together and seems to be alright now only a month and a few skids later i blew the gearbox haha luckily enough we had a spear one which to my suprise was only a 4speed? so now i have a 1700 with a 4speed box haha i've got a g180 which i'm about to start working on. going to fully re build it, get it bored out to a 2l im hoping an turbo it also ;D

Haha, at the top is more or less what mine currently looks like (mines in better 'nic than that, and no fugly two tone)
Also had gay angle exhaust like yours did...
Colour & wheels arent me, but can appreciate the work gone into it, seats look good..
Oh and the 4spd 'boxes are stronger than the 5spd, but have an extremely low 1st gear, Standstill Burnouts pretty much fail unless you've got a decent amount of room to do circle work to heat tyres first. Not to fear, 2nd gear round roundabouts/corners is extremely fun in the wet

Must have been funny when you found out it was a 4-speed, driving along trying to hook 5th, trying harder to hook 5th, trying really hard to hook 5th... then realising it's a 4-speed... ;D

thanks man.not bad ae.. yeah i had a look before it's pretty mean, was supprised it almost looked the same as mine..what wagon you got? Have a TG too...almost ready for the road, failed wof miserably today...not gana think about that rite now!! Just got a TF wagon as a parts car, too good to wreck so puttin that on ice till i get round to it. Also have a chevette wagon with plans to convert front to TX-C-D (take your pic) frontage...someone already had a go converting to TF, needs to be done properly tho... I am going to be using the wagons as company cars for my cleaning company, by the look of it i may need to get a 2nd one finished...thats if the quotes i put out last week get accepted... Also have a daily chevette hatch with TX-C-D front conversion, and a project chevette hatch undergoing transformation to TF front convo... I call them Chevini's. My wife calls them a waste of money. And space. Money and space.
