I had been waiting for one of these to pop up since i sold my wagon.. about 5 years ago... Finally i found one.. you might have seen it on trademe a while ago or heard gaz talking about it on oldschool.co.nz but anyway.. My turn... Came with a blue donor which we wrecked and mostly have stored under our house along with a family of about 5 escorts worth of parts. It didn't actually go when we got it so towed it back home.. and added it to the collection of old pieces outside our house. Gaz cleaned and gapped the plugs and its been a minter ever since / became our daily driver because our mk 2 tina got sandwiched in a crash Took it for its first adventure to lake ferry and did some token off-roading before i plan to lower it to the flooooor. It pretty much got engaged with us on the beach and gaz has talk of us finishing it for our wedding next year. So will see how the funds go! Plan is to get a reliable engine in there dunno what yet. I want to paint it gold at this stage.. but hrmmm... I bought some cheap wheels off trademe for it just for now - but the guy is pissing me around so will see how that goes. Id rather have white walls anyway... And if your interested.. these are my 2 previous chevettes.. Both rugged as but still loved them at the time!

Awesome! That first picture is my new desktop. SO awesome ;D
I nearly bought the orange wagon.. twice.. lol. Glad I missed out on it though because it would have resulted in a little bit too much rust and panel work than I was hoping. My wagon turned out to be quite a bit cleaner.
Deffinitely looking forward to progress with this. I'm pretty sure about 5 of us on here nearly bought it because we had been looking out for 2 door sedans since I can remember and this is only the second that has popped up (the first that hasn't been ruined).

Yeh the orange wagon wasn't in a good state - had a rotten floor! The brown machine however is worth it - Helped that it wasn't going at the time either meant i got it way cheap.. and it was minor. Well im a poor student so don't hold your breath - the shuvit is in the waiting line, we have an escort and a cortina to finish before it gets some love. But it will!

lol, if it was that easy we'd all be doing it
adaptors will space them out abit far I think. I tried that one time but the thinest you can get is 25mm

It can't be thaaat hard. All we need to do is make up blank hubs, OR see if Hoppers can give us a whole lot of blank hubs which we can drill to 114.3, they make their own 4x100 ones!
NEver SAY NEVER!

definitely! If you are replacing your brakes with those blank hubs its very easy. The only reason those ones on the small kit are volvo is because they are the right size and 4x100 so don't need to be drilled.
problem on standard stuff (which is what gaz and gaz's missus are talking about) is that 4x114.3 is actually quite a bit larger and the standard chevette stuff doesn't offer enough meat to simply drill out, front or rear.
Theres a possibilty that going to piazza (or even gemini) hubs and diff might resolve it but I still have my doubts as to whether you would even be able to drill those out larger. Definitely worth a look though.

Yer.. i got them tonight - Dish is freakn sweeet... and gaz is dribbling sumthing about changing them round so i can have the back dish which is lots.. But yeah will try and make them fit first. Hoppers sounds good - ill do my research and see how that goes. I am determined to make them fit now cos they are guna look mean. Got brand new tyres with them too - so might sell them and get some 195/45/14 on there.
