Scored this beast today for 150 bucks ;D 'tis actually pretty mean, no dents.. chromes mint and no rust except in the battery tray Idea's consist of fixing broken nuts then lower on stock wheels/hubcaps and perhaps some flappers, maybe paint of some sort Transplant g200z out of the Gem with a 5 speed, then make it reliable Will probably upgrade brakes but not sure whats easy/bolt on. Ideas? stuffed engine, don't know whats actually wrong but don't really care

To be honest the standard brakes are pretty damn good, unless you're doing some serious track work I wouldnt bother.
Discs on the front, drums on the rear, give them a good blead up, make sure the pads are good and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how well they stop..
Cheers,Chris

Looks pretty tidy, oh if theres a hole in the battery tray, lift up the floor mate directly under the pedals and have a look at the floor... (I had big holes in one of mine..)

You can fade the standard front brakes but you've got to be pushing it pretty hard. Try and track down some "Metal King" pads and you can run them to red hot - trust me on that - work very well cold too. Rears are a bit easier to fade but you've got to be REALLY pushing them - however you may be able to get better linings bonded to the shoes at your local brake specialist. Use DOT4 fluid - NOT!!! a Silicone based fluid as that is rubbish.
