Yes, they are pretty scarce. Isuzu was first sold in the US in 1981 & the I-mark(Gemini) went to FWD in 85 so body/trim parts for mine are hard to find. From the dealer most are no longer available or expensive($175 for a wheel rotor). Sometimes you get lucky tho - I got a set of new sedan fuel flap hinges for $4! They were still in (very dusty) sealed plastic bag and before you get all excited they don't have & can't get any more. Junkyards didn't keep them long since they were not common & therefor low demand for their parts. Most have been crushed and besides the majority sold in US were diesel which are sought after to convert into biodiesel/vegetable oil. Mechanically I can source from Luv trucks, Isuzu P'ups, RWD Impulses(Piazza), and a few others so that's not so bad. US is a PF60 since they all came with the 1.8 (but we never got the W-DOHC in anything ) More details of options & pics available @ www.ozgemini.com/forums/non-tech/viewtopic.php?t=15373

Man is there any chance one of those Storm (I think that's the car) engines will bolt up to a Gemini gearbox? I've heard of some pretty quick turbo ones in the states.

The storm was FWD so it would take some doing but...

From the wiki page it seems the Geo storm is a rebadged Isuzu, so the engine is probably similar to what we get here in the Isuzu Gemini? That little 4XC1 or what ever they call it. Dunno what gearbox you'd use on that motor. Probably nothing fits so you'd have to adapt something. Fuk that, get an ecotec!
Cool car though SoYank. Nice to see your comitted to it, regardless of the fact parts are becoming expensive and difficult to come by. You'll be repaid by the fact you have a car that will be one of a kind ;D

There's a guy from here in O-town on the Isuzone.org forum with a near stock 91 turbo that just broke into the 12's -
