Perhaps you could try disconnecting your rear sway bar and seeing if that makes a difference. I didn't think the sedans even had sway bars!? I actually found that mine is bent a couple of days ago.

Fuk! I just pulled my rear swaybar out. What a weird set up. It was pulling up on the diff so hard I could barely even loosen the bolts from where it attaches to the diff. Then as I pulled them out it just slammed up onto the diff! Fully shouldn't do that. I'm pretty sure the sway bar was wrong because it wasn't even clearing the diff head. It was pushing on the diff head so hard that it had worn a grove in it about 8mm deep! And on top of all that the sway bar was bent, which I mentioned before. I seriously have no idea what is going on with it.
Car still seems to handle the same without it. I was hoping that fukt swaybar was going to be the answer to my diff skipping problem. Its maybe a little more floaty on the corners in the rear without it in there, but hardly noticeble and still lifts a rear wheel.

Haha this is funny as! the ultimate gemini lowering saga haha. I've never measured the height of mine aye. I just used my eyes and it worked out well ;D Mikuni: you say u cant notice the difference after removing your swaybar. Id say this is cos the suspension is so low/stiff. Is this an aftermarket swaybar or what? Also another question (which has probably been covered elsewhere ): Does anybody know if chevette wagons have the same rear suspension setup as sedans? i know hatchs are different but im not sure about wagons.

Yeah the wagons are the same as the hatch chevettes. They have angled shocks which changes things around a little. It was a standard bar as far as I know. Was tiny and nutsty. The car does feel abit more floaty on the corners aye. Doesn't turn in aswell, which is what I was expecting as apparantly the gems/vettes pivot off the back wheels. So if it is abit sloopy it won't turn in as well, regardless of how tight the front is. I'm pretty sweet with it tho. It only lifts a wheel if I corner real hard under throttle. I'm pretty sure its just that the shocks are too short but thats a sacrifice I made to get it low. Its all good. I might change things around when I get a proper diff, but untill then riding on 3 wheels round corners is pretty fun! haha.

Barry White that sounds pretty ruthless aye ive gota get some shocks sorted soon for mine its a bit mental how uncaptive my springs are at the moment. I nearly painted my wheels and headlight surrounds matt black today but i chickened out however i did notice a really small opel badge on my wheels
