This is pretty interesting reading. Is the VN Getrag box the one which you are using, Brad? Assuming it is, then it is highly possibly that the same flywheel/clutch/pressure plate/etc combo as you are using should also work.
I'm gonna have to go back through your build thread to find exactly what you did to mount your engine, etc, but for someone like me who already has all the wiring and stuff done, this could actaully be a pretty easy option, provided that I had some help!

I'm adicted to this conversion. Couple lazy beers tonight then back to the net scouring offshore forums, trying to find out more about the engines.
Yes, the Getrag box is the one I am using. Some guys overseas have concerns about how strong these boxes are but I would be confident in putting up to 300hp through one in a light car, such as a t-car. If you want to be running more power than that, then I would suggest spending the big money on a T56 or an R154 to handle upwards of 500hp, which as Gordo says, is easily achievable on these motors! I have already heard some concerns about their reliablity, but nothing that I would be too worried about. Most issues appear to be related to lack of maintenance.
Another good thing for t-car fitment is that the sump in the Saab 900 is rear bowl, as it needs to fit in a Vectra A. If you read through my build thread I compare 3 sumps, Vectra B, Vectra A and Manta. I did have the engine sitting in the bay using the Vectra A sump but I opted for a Manta A in the end because I happened to find one!
The only real gay issue that I have found so far is relating to the wiring, which you aren't going to be using Leon. You need to run a vehicle speed signal to the ecu for some stupid reason. This is part of the ABS system I think, or something along those lines. I would like to just drop a standard motor into my Vectra using the original ecu etc, but until I find an easier way around this issue I'll put a hold on it.
