i think i have finnaly given in to not having a gemini and am considering buying the 78 grey coupe on trademe.
i know 3 grand is to much what are your guys thoughts on a resonable price i realise ill have 2 spend a good grand getting it back on the road.

Oh gutted he sold it yesterday 1 day to late after months of it being on there was to slow on that nice gem wagon aswell

To be honest I'm not sure how much he would have moved on price anyway. I think a few of us have enquired about that car and he was pretty set on the price, plus it was starting to bubble a bit already. Having bought a car for its good paint I think its probably worth starting with a straight original car and doing it yourself, the right way. In saying that I have had a few good years of its current paint anyway, so I guess in some ways it is worth it.
And don't worry, there will be more coming along. Over the last 5 or 6 years there has been a very slow but relatively steady flow of decent Coupes coming up for sale from time to time. It can actually go for a year or so without any and you start to think they are all gone or something and then a few more turn up.
In related news, I saw the white coupe yesterday driving north through Hamilton, the 1 that sold for $5000, with what I assumed to be the new owner at the wheel.

You should buy that chevette wagon in wellington. Only 750 and just needs some minor rustwork and a headgaskit done. So maybe like a grand to get it on the road

nah would rather try and get a gem again preferably a coupe but beggars cant be choosers i guess would love 2 import a td wagon from oz
