Made it to the first round of ss2000 on the weekend and man there are some very quick cars in the field!! We had made a couple of changes after its first trial the week before that had made an improvement but I was still well off the pace. My main goal was to finish the weekend intacked and come away with feedback of how the car felt so it can be improved on for the next round and in that regard it was a highly successful weekend. The last race was cool, I got a head start as the race is handicap and lead for the first 6 laps before being passed and was still in 2nd at the start of the last lap but with 2 corners to go and the pack aproaching fast I over shot my braking point and collected a tyre big time a big chunk of bumper is gone and the well placed guard covering the rack is well smashed but we will live to fight again!! ;D The guys from Prime liked the car and interviewed me about it so I may even get on telly in a couple of weeks

Sweet, sounds like a pretty good time. Is this at Taupo?

Confuse anyone with the engine? Bummer with the damage, but at least it sounds a reasonably cheap and easy repair.

Yeah there were a few people scratching their heads trying to work it out and there were a couple of spectators that came over to have a look that had picked it was a Honda from the sound it made going past at 9000 rpm. Will be an easy enough fix so I am not too worried, I am sure it wont be the last time it needs patching up.

Yeah, I did some clug races years ago - didn't really enjoy them that much as I was worried about others taking me out. Loved the dual sprints, though!
