I'm selling my motard as I need a car to transport family etc. Doesn't need to be big car could be a hatch or two door coupe as long as I can fit baby seat in front.
I have enough running gear to make a chevette with hot 2.3 from the chevette race car but I'm think this may be a bit old to drive to work each day. Very tempted to do a chevette sedan for something different with the 2.3 that's sitting around.
Here's some interesting one's I've found
1990 E30 bmw 325i Fiat punto Abarth Fiat stilo abarth Toyota altezza Skyline 2.5 turbo (had one years ago)
I'm open to any suggestion, just needs to be something interesting or I'll get bored with it.

Opel Omega
The looks of an ugly Commodore and the reliability of something even more sh*t.

A mate has a punto abarth, pretty nice car! Goes well too and can be picked up pretty cheap.
Opel Calibra?
Or yeah, just grab another chevette and hot it up a tad.

I drive my gem to work every day, lots better it now has a working heater
Harden up and do the Vette! It will be a lot cheaper and you won't get pissed off trying to fix it if something does goes wrong, just a carb and a dizzy ;D

tezza or skyline purely because japs are better as dailys, they break down less and are easyer and cheaper to work on (educated, but still its just my personal opinion so dont go reaming me and arguing that im wrong!). but keep in mind with the skyline itl cost you a fortune to run a rb25det. or any straight 6 actually none of them are economical. if your gonna get one as a family car make it a stagea or an altezza gita (2jz =D) that way thers room for expansion haha

Vectra? If you get an early one with an XE, it can also be a spare engine!

Im still pretty keen to make a nice sedan chevette. I've just seen the aqua one of tardme but saw zep snooping around too. sent him a pm. I could shoehorn in my 2300 and have all the appropriate bits to complete a 2300 chevette....outta be a good daily. Get some nice mags on it and away we go.

Cool buy that one. Zep always snoops around but never does anything about it I was even snooping in that ad just because I'd hate to see a wof/reg chevette go to waste. I wouldn't be able to daily a chevette any more, I've been too looked after by new crap with good demisters, air conditioning and a heater that works, but if you don't mind being a hard arse on those cold days then go hard! At least it will be something different, god damn it I hate Altezzas and Skylines! They bore the hell out of me.

I guess it's just that I have a spare tuned 2300 and gearbox sitting here and all the right cross members etc to fit a chevette. Would only require a low volume cert and I'd be laughing.

my blue wagon? If I was to sell complete it'd come with plates. Reg on hold, blown rings, rust in sills but not too far gone. Thinking of robbing it though. It owes me $450 or 5hundy, cant think which. The parts are worth about the same to me so wouldn't sell complete for less, wanting diff, zorst for chevini and possibly heaps of other nuts. Welcome to check it out, the Red TE wags can be parted out instead. Also wanted to swap the central hinging windows onto my vette wagz as the vettes have stoopid glue tab jobbies and gem wagz have holes drilled in glass with hinge jobbies bolted on....
Anyhow if you have a welder mate type hookup and one of my G161's is ok to use reckon you could have it on road (altho with ratty paint and primer patches for another 500 or so... this is bare minimum stuff tho, no fancy shizzle. $1k is OK for an average condition wagz isnt it?! Would prefer someone saves it rather than me wreckin it...
Anywho if I still have it in a year or so it'll join the fleet!
