Any idea if its much bigger/stronger than a chevette diff? If it is ill be keen to grab it and save it for later. Ill need a stronger diff but also one with small enough brakes to fit 13's.

Apparantly the chevette diffs are complete arse. I like them though, they are tighter than gemini ones. If my car can ever build up enough courage to break traction its always with both wheels. Geminis that I've driven or seen aren't as eager to get both.
If you get it, rebuilding it with a pizza LSD and some nice brakes might be the way? Could be better to go the later model one and put borgwarner LSD and disks on it though?

Yeah my chevette one seems pretty nice for an open diff. Better than toyota ones ive had. But it is very small! and from what iv read they can only handle up to about 100bhp before they explode ;D The chevettes brakes actualy seem pretty good to me. Far better then most other old and small cars which i have driven. Easier to stick with drums i think...at least for a while.
Defcon, how much do you want for it?

Just make sure you keep an eye on the torque tube! They can bend or crack when abused - could be nasty! I suspect the PF50 diff' is comparable to the European Opel "A" diff', as also used in the HS and it'll be about 12mm wider, per side, than the Chevette one. If you're serious, take along a tape measure to comnpare them.

I want it so I can put Piazza rear disks in My TE. When you moving? I'm coming to Auckland in a few weeks so I could collect it.

Yeah but there are 2 gemini diffs, a jap one and an Aussie one. The Jap ones are far more condusive to bolting on pizza disc brakes and centres too.

Yeah the Piazza Rear disk setup fits onto the early Jap diff but not the latter Aussie sailsbury diff which is whats in my TE. I have the Piazza disks calipers and hand brake cable all here ready to go. I took it for a WOF the other day it failed on a few things rear brakes was one.

Im really not fussed aye. i know the whereabouts of a couple more of these diffs, they're just a little bit down country. If you want the diff, you take it mr burntrubber. Defcon, if you need it gone hardcore soon then i dont mind storing it at my place untill mr rubber is ready to pick it up.
