It's the whole shootin caboodle. Hot motor (cams, bigger valves, cross drilled crank etc) inlet and outlet manifolds and twin 40 side dellortoes....apprantly dynoed recently with 190 at flywheel.
I'm very tempted. It'd be a great project. Not keen on the lock diff but I am hoping I can either unlock it or replace the piazza head with an lsd one?

I think the big issue would be the gearbox. There is very little chance that the W50 would fit in the tunnel and even less that it would use the existing crossmember so that would require a little hammering and abit of fabrication in that area.
I guess the rest of the things aren't too bad though, especially if you get mounts and everything.
160kgs is HEAPS. I could lift my engine off the ground with intake/headers and ancilleries bolted on and I'm not a very strong Mrs Funt'maRunt so I'd be expecting my engine to be less than half of that weight.
Perhaps you should track down the guy with the HS replica chevette and talk to him about how difficult it is to get the engine and more importantly the box into the car.

What about using the likes of a t50 box? Not as strong as the Wseries, but they are alloy = lighter as well as being smaller and can still handle good power...
Cheers,Chris
