My Hilux diff arrived today! Woo. Looks like I may not have to shorten it either, its only about 5mm wider than the standard one (with some dodgy measuring). Will have to measure it again later tho.
Can't wait to get it in and working and have another thing off my plate...

I've still got my original diff. The only one I'm not sure about is the rear sway bar. The PF50 didn't come with them in NZ so only the ZZR diff has this mount AND the Gem dosen't actaully have the mount on the chassis to use with it either! Dunno if I'm going to run on (would like to tho).

Yeah no big hassle to spot some plates on for a sway bar you have to get all the mount's for the ladderbar/radius arms welded on anyway.

Hrm, The head on mine looks to be in the centre, but I'll have to measure to be sure. Although Gene on Ozgemini didn't have to shorten his either, so I dunno. Lets hope i dont have to!!

The gem pinion flange/diff center is 40mm off center. I shortened mine to match the original but if it's the right length now I would just leave it it will work fine. I wish I hade done it to mine because I would only have to shorten I axle. Gene asked me the same question about ofset I told him just leave it there are other people on ozgemini who have just made it central.

Hrm, OK, i didn't know about that. Will have to look into it a bit more. I'm sure you'll be able to tell me once you have a look at the diff anyway.

Only problem I would of had with mine is being so low the clearance in the driveshaft tunnel is Barry White all and if it was too far off centre there would be some mad issues
