I think he had mazport or whatever its called do it. Brand new everything housings came from mazda allready with the perifial port cast from standard not bored later on they were $2500 each by them selfs  |

That Speedtech DX or is it a Lancer (lol I dunno, dont keep up with NZ drag scene) is matte black and has obviously had mega spent on it!! Easily 5 figures!

funny this subject came up i did a budget too and its guna cost me heaps also i mean i could prolly make it back coz i got the car for nothing and the engine cheap but just to convert the engine to manual is a nightmare so think i'm selling up! i really wanted to do it but duno take forever on apprentice wages i wanna go fast now not in 1 years time or so, looking at buying a GTi-R its on trade me at the mo, plus i'm going to move to aussie in 2 years coz theres no money in nz for trades people !

Ok, just had a quick look at TM. You can't pick up a gti-r for less than 6 grand?
I'd say for 6 grand you can make your gemini turbo and manual - faster and a hell of a lot cooler than a girls pulsar! haha
I'm not sure about conversions but I know a friend of mine had a car a couple of years back and he found a place that would do a full rb25det conversion for him for 6 grand. He could just drop it off and pick it up afew weeks later certd,wofd and twice as fast.
I'm not saying do this conversion to a gem, just a sugestion about pricing.

Oh man if you do go to the dark side at least make it rear wheel drive. I would like to spend another $6000 on mine imagine the posibilitys Go on do it $6000 on your Gem you wont regret it. |

oh yeah sorry nah u wont find it on there as 6g its a mate at works this one www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Nissan/auction-52946236.htm he said he would let me buy it for 6g its quick as too hmmm i love oldskool but i aint gonna be in nz for ages anyways so parting with a new car gonna be hell of alot easier then oldskool wonder what i would get for my gem deregd but mint az ? runs well no rust etc |

Ok, just had a quick look at TM. You can't pick up a gti-r for less than 6 grand? wow my guess was pretty on the ball, good ol trademe ay. I'm very dissapointed in you wildplum, I reckon you'd get nothing for your gem! you should keep it and spend your pulsar buying money on it! a turbo gem would go for more than 6 in mint condition, that gay as straight red one nearly went for $4500 on trademe but the dudes a d*ck and wanted $5000 firm now he's got no interest. But if it had a sr20det in it it would be another story! |
