Yeah for sure, I wouldn't expect him to foot the bill on trialing tires. I just had a look at the toyo website and the FZ4 looks like it should work. Its 215/50/13 and they say it will suit a rim size of 5.5 - 8.5 inches. Crazy aye. I'll ask around tomorrow if anyone can get hold of them. I have already been to the toyo shops. They are the places that sell dunlops and the not a very nice persons ALL told me that toyo doesn't do anything in 13". Perhaps they are the same deal as the dunlops, being hard to get hold of but atleast they could have a look for them and tell me. Shoot, those would have been great on the 13x7 Minilite style wheels on Trademe a few months back - but then I guess I'm more "really old school" 77vette, found the centre caps for those rostyles if you want to pick them up or get them dropped off at some time - three still have the Griffin on them. If you're prepared to wait a bit and pay a bit extra, there are other options, check out these (UK) road legal rally slicks - and the sizes www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=DMS15553013CR311X04www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=KUM1756013V70H

Awesome man, ill come pick em up sometime. PM me when where etc.
Far out your a useful guy to have on the forum!
looks like those dunlops only come in 150'5 and 155's, i will definatly need something abit wider. Those kumo ones look alright but id prefer a lower profile i think...
Brad, what were the tyres you had called?

My tyres now? They are Yoko A539 175/50R13
Yoko also do some race and semi-race in sizes that will be suitable if thats what you want. I was going to resort to road/race groved slicks because we couldn't find a suitable size but did in the end. The workshop X ae86 runs 14" versions of my tyres, so they must be alright.

Yeap thats the one. Yeah, I haven't been to drifts in years but I haven't heard of him doing much. I'm quite sure he's still got it, I think its his first car he's had since he was a little fella so he won't sell it I wouldn't think. He's started up a new shop up north and is going hardout with that, so I imagine thats why he can't find the time for the dirty D1.
Jase would probably know more if he happens to read this. Fuk it is an awesome car though!
You going to use the same tyres as me? Let me know what price you get. I'll be heading up north within the next month or so, so I can get them put on then for $150 a pop. I don't know if thats a hookup, I don't think so but I'm very happy to pay that anyway. By far the cheapest 13" low pro I can find.

Yeah those ones you've got look choice. But yeah right now im more worried about widening them. That guy cam of oldschool, reckons that the guys he gets 'em off only go up to 7 inch wide on a 13. Twice i've emailed this company elite wheels in christchurch about it, but they havn't replied after nearly a week so Barry White them! their website does say that they can do any size though. There is a guy somewhere in southauckland who widens wheels. Will probably be the same sort of job that you got. Im gona see if he's keen tomorrow.

Isn't there a thread on oldschool about that? my mate (rot808) was gona drive his 808 down to rotarua with a few other mazdas to get it done. Apparently there isn't anyone who does it in auckland(which i find hard to belive).
Or do you want to buy some actual white walled tyres?

That is probably to get the white bands painted on the tyres, which I do prefer on some stuff. For the dub I'd get some flappas, which you can just buy from anywhere and get a tyre shop to put them on for fuk all, or you can do it yourself by letting the air out but I'm not sure its worth bothering with.
PS, seriously.. I know its not yours but sack it!

Well,. if I can get my mother to pay for the tyres, I'd like to get some real ones.
What are flappers?
I want to sack it, but you have to do welding mods and nuts, which is really a no can do since it's not mine. Gotta get drop spindles and nuts too. I want to bring the front down in line with the back tho, will look much better.
