do you have the sr20 engine already? would pay to investigate sizes etc & where things would fit. imagine you would have to make custom engine and gearbox mounts regardless. surely youd want to match the sr20 with its own gearbox/driveshaft? unless you were going to modify the isuzu gearbox bellhousing - might make things easier to bolt up to a gemini/piazza diff but still alot of mucking around

nah but i have a few options of motors its just the cost of the gearbox's for therm that sux, i know they fit, you jst have to make mounts and cut a new shifter hole

Using the matching gearbox for the engine will avoid all the hassle of matching odd bellhousing s, clutches, etc. If you go for a 4 linked axle, you'll be looking at sorting out a driveshaft anyway.

yeh what i was saying is that if a g200 dohc comes up for the right price then i might just use that instead of doing an sr

DOHCs are pretty rare dude most of the piazzas ive seen are all SOHC - might be lucky though. even a g200 SOHC with twin carbs would be a pretty decent engine in a chevette maybe 100-110hp? if you worked the engine a bit, headers etc youd get more but thats all $$$

yeh ill probs stick with the sr20, if i can find a box for about 250-300 then thatl b ok, 600 for engine and box + all running (ecu etc) i wouldnt mind spending that, still need those front brakes though

this was for a shove-it right? the attraction to a g200w for most people is fitting straight in a gemini. if you have to mod a bunch of things combined with scarcity of parts for g200w taking your time and spending a little more at the start will save dollars in long run. where bouts in dairy flat are u? grew up at the bottom of top rd in an old\new house.... folks still live there

btw just an opinion/observation. never repowered myself but have watched people searching all over for various g 200w parts. how much you wanting to spend on engine? mate of mine was selling one. will check if he still has it.
