Seeing as the 4&Rotary show n shine + drags is coming up soon i was wondering if you guys would be keen on entering a club display for Show on the 29th. I'm entering Tony's 1uz Chevette in and he said that he will try get Danny and Reg's Chevette (possibly Craig's if its ready). I'm going to start prepping mine for a new paint job and will be entering that in aswell. Would be Barry Whiteing awesome to see a gm-t display there next year! registration is here... www.4androtary.co.nz/index.php?option=com_rsform&formId=21&Itemid=99999Hope some of you guys will be keen on joining in. Should be good fun Chur

Mite see about kumeu show... anyone else keen? May not be V8's or what not but get a lot of people chatting to me when they see my wags, always similar Q's or comments "Don't see many of these" etc... funnily enough not so much with red wags, green one turns people pretty chatty though. One guy I met at AUT noticed I changed cars the other day and asked how many I had, mustv noticed I was suffering from similar disease to himself (he owns 8 Landrovers!) If a few of you's are keen for either event I will also see about having a gm-t sign made up...

only good if your cars worth looking at. bit embarrassing when you got cars worth thousands of dollars and all youve got is a stock standard gem/chevette with dodgy paint and ratty interior.

Pretty much, I was a little embarrased having mine there last year because although I have put quite a bit of effort into it, it is no where near show standard and was never intended to be built for show.
I think I'll give it a miss this year too, although it would help with selling it. Its at a stupid time of year the 4 and rotas now, just too much on around then. Should be still in spring.

btw how can tonys car enter? its not a 4 cyl or a rotary. Nor is an RB25det skyline but there will be about a hundred of them. I don't think it matters if car is mint or not especially in a group display... we wouldn't appeal much to the flat peaked types but I reckon there'd be plenty of peeps keen to have a look at some cool old nuts that isn't made by Mazda or Toyota...

Yea thats true Jesse. To be honest as long as your cars a tidy example then you're good to go ay. Last year there were plenty of average as escorts(and others) that definitely weren't up to show standard but still fit in quite well. Yea Tim if you're going to be entering that would be awesome if you could make up a sign/banner! ;D I just reckon it would be mint to have a club display to help promote the geminis and chevettes. Im sure that if several of us did enter we would gain quite a bit of interest. So far I've enter Tony's and will be entering mine after next weeks pay. by the end of the week ill know whether Reg, Dan and Craig are entering or not then i'll get back to all of you. I've entered Tony's car as part of the 'GM-T' Display. If any of you are going to enter then make sure you right that in the box to confirm that we get a club display section. Chur, Tai

Sorry bout late notice, thought I already posted saying that I wasnt entering my chevette anymore. After sanding it back and priming it i decided that there were far too many shopping trolley dings that i wanted to get straightened out before i paint it so im not going to be entering anymore as it wont be sorted in time.
As far as I know Tony's the only person entering but i will talk to him this week to see if Reg and Dan have entered (im pretty sure Dan is because last i heard he was reeeally keen).
Craig: Really? That's bloody mint, glad to hear you've sorted it! thats all good if you only do saturday but its only the show and shine.
By the way the display may be switching to a Lynchbuilt display if that's sweet due to noone else entering from this forum. Would be very good to promote Tony's company aswell as promote chevettes! plus Mark may be entering his dattoo 1200 aswell as part of the display.
