tis a sweet shape.
Still not heard back from a guy in Nelson who is splitting a magnum 1800. He only paid $200 odd for complete car so bits should be cheap.

nice coggers. I'm still up in the air. I think I've found a 1800 magnum with all the running gear....am quite tempted to transfer it all and plonk a 2300 single cam in while I consider what to do. I have 6 dial dash and magnum front as well

Well that would certainly be the easiest bolt in option.
You'll need an OHC axle whatever you do but remember to swap in the trailing arms too . I know there were only two different sizes of discs on the front (that Magnum should have the larger diameter on it) but there are other options re the calipers - mine's got Ford ones on , a bolt in swap .
Easy enough job to pop out those Magnum headlight panels and weld them into your existing panel - transforms the front of the car , I swapped in some later model BMW headlights too. My mate also did all this sort of stuff to his Viva ( including going to the 7 dial dash ) . PM if you want and I'll chuck all the pictures your way.
edit - if you're ever stuck for a part I'm quite happy to have a hunt here and ship it on to you ..

Have been having issues with the car not running great since I picked it up and the brake booster and master cylinder not working etc. Have not managed to get it going quite well ( new disty cap, plugs cleaned at tony's today and a tune up) also found am exhaust leak around the manifold today and plugged that too, sadly I'm becoming quite acquainted with the 1256 motors and general issues now *shakes head* either way it's actually going pretty good now for a 1975 machine...wonder if it would get a warant...
