a pic of my little runaround 'vette. just stock standard at the mo. ignition system farked out on me tho so replaced everything except the starter & now shes running sweet as.

Ah, you've got a '80 on RTS model - makes things easier as it doesn't use that stupid relay system for the throttle - just straight from the pedal AND it's got the end vents in the dash. Should have the flush headlights but looks like it was either a transition model or someone's put the earlier lights in - prefer them anyway. Going to have to do something about those aweful tri-spoke wheels, though If you've a mate in the biz. I got a full set of gas shocks for around $200 was pleasantly surprised but a bit harder than the KYBs, which I reckon were the best compromise for ride and control.

yeah i got the bug eyes but one of them is cracked & the bulbs come loose so got the older ones in there. picking up some wheels 2moro so should see these on trademe pretty soon if yr keen bro. tri-spokes hard. might be keen on those shocks dude. not for a couple weeks tho as spending 2 much as it is & not working @ tha mo so gotta be a bit tight with tha moulah. bloody recession!

Confusion abounds, I mean you should be able to pick up a new set of dampers for around $200-250. Alternatively, when flush, TJM do kits with shortened, adjustable dampers and springs for around, IIRC, NZ$850ish landed.

want to put a 1.8L slant 4 in my chevette. anyone done it b4 or have any advice. just wondering if there'd be enough room up front & what other mods need to be done etc.

Fairly straight foward conversion have you got the 1.8 (G180z) already.

just like everything else. nothing's cheap anymore lol. probably all good with the suspension at the mo anyway. cheers. more interested in getting another starter motor.

my much improved hatchy. no more tri spoke moon wheels. haha the sedo waiting patiently to be restored. (now on stands with a half painted bonnet. lol) gotta get the dirty little 1256 out & sort the engine bay. anyone keen on these wheels? Barry Whiteen ugly! going on trademe - dollar reserve.
